Making a difference in the lives of people in the community may only sound like a dream, but our Links Dream Makers have always had a way of making dreams come true In this continuing feature, we will offer tributes to inspiring Renaissance Links Dream Makers --- charter members who have played significant roles in the history and success of our Chapter and its programs.

The Charter Members of the Renaissance Chapter have gifted us with a notable legacy of service. They are accomplished, highly educated, well traveled, caring, giving, loving, dedicated women committed to making a difference. The core of their hearts firmly embedded in the ideals of community service, these women are the original charter members of the Renaissance Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, founded on the principles of friendship and service.

To best understand who the Renaissance Links are today, we must take a journey back to how we began. Our 27 original charter members formed a group called the Michigan Innovators Group (M.I.G.) in 1985 with a mission to contribute to the quality of life in the community through concerted group effort. Two years later in 1987, M.I.G. was inducted into The Links, Incorporated and has since been known as The Renaissance Chapter of The Links, Inc.

Let's take a look back at these visionary women, their names, their profiles as they where 20 years ago, in 1986 . . .
